Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Baltimore

Western

Extradition -- Donavan Troy White, 17, who was arrested in North Carolina about three weeks ago on a Baltimore warrant charging him as an adult with first-degree murder, was returned in police custody Wednesday after waiving an extradition hearing. White, who had no fixed address, is accused of fatally beating 39-year-old Joel Bradley with a 3-foot-long tree branch and stealing the man's cell phone. The attack - which occurred as Bradley slept on a bench in the 700 block of Cumberland St. on Oct. 22 - was caught on a police surveillance camera, and a review of calls made on the cell phone after Bradley's death led to White's arrest.

Northeastern

Arrest -- Darrell Barnes, 42, was arrested Wednesday at his home in the 5600 block of Leiden Road on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder. Barnes is accused of strangling Shannon Jackson, 39, whose partly clad body was found Nov. 1, 2003, stuffed inside a storm drain near her home in the 5400 block of Moores Run Drive.

Eastern

Arrest -- Tavon Caldwell of the 900 block of Newington Ave. was arrested yesterday in the 2100 block of Aiken St. on a warrant charging him with the fatal shooting Nov. 19 of Dennis O'Neil, 38, in the 1300 block of Hargest Lane.

Central

Theft -- A 19-inch TV valued at $150 was stolen Wednesday from an apartment in the 1900 block of Park Ave.

Burglary -- Video games, compact discs and a DVD player were stolen Wednesday from an apartment in the 2400 block of Madison Ave.

Southeastern

Robbery -- A 34-year-old man was stopped for a traffic signal in the first block of S. Highland Ave. about 5 p.m. Wednesday when two men, one with a handgun, reached into his vehicle and stole a PlayStation 3.

Robbery -- A woman was walking in the 3000 block of E. Lombard St. about 9 a.m. Wednesday when a teenage male riding a bike snatched a bag she was carrying containing $30 and property valued at $40.

Baltimore County

Franklin

Shooting -- Police were seeking a gunman who forced his way into a house in the 9100 block of Marlove Oaks Lane in Owings Mills about 4 a.m. Wednesday and shot a 24-year-old man as the victim fired back. The intruder fled, and the victim was released after being treated at Northwest Hospital Center. It was not known whether the intruder was wounded.

Towson

Burglary -- A laptop computer, a video monitor and a leather jacket were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 8000 block of Ridgely Oak Road by someone who entered through a window.

Pikesville

Burglaries -- A laptop computer and other electronics - all worth nearly $1,200 - were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 8200 block of Township Drive by someone who entered after breaking a sliding glass door with a rock. At house in the 8300 block of Township Drive the same day, jewelry and Christmas gifts were stolen by someone who forced open a sliding glass door.
