ASHBURN, Va. -- Shaun Suisham will go into Sunday's game at FedEx Field against the Philadelphia Eagles feeling a little more settled than he did last Sunday, when there was still something of an open competition with Nick Novak for the job as the Washington Redskins' kicker.

Despite missing his only field-goal attempt in a 24-14 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, Suisham got the position when the Redskins released Novak on Monday. It seems likely with the Redskins 4-8 and realistically out of the playoff hunt, Suisham will have the job the rest of the season.
