Frazier's on the Avenue

In the heart of Hampden, Frazier's on the Avenue is the quirky neighborhood's hottest nightspot. With live music, karaoke and weekday happy-hour specials, Frazier's gives you a reason to look forward to the work week.

Where -- 919 W. 36th St.

Call -- 410-662-4914

Notable -- $1 off drafts and rails during happy hour, 4 p.m.-7 p.m. on weekdays, and great weekday deals on bar fare, which includes steak, lobster and crab cakes that are as good as they are cheap. And don't miss the bad singing -- er, karaoke nights -- every other Tuesday at 9 p.m.

Vibe -- Dimly lit with billiard tables, old photos on the wall and a jukebox. Think a Hampden version of Cheers.

Crowd -- A classic Hampden mix of hipsters, artists, neighborhood residents and young professionals stopping by on their way home from work.

What to wear -- Anything goes, and usually does.
