Ruby Timanus, 85

Ruby I. Timanus, a retired food service supervisor, died of chronic lung disease Saturday at Carroll Hospital Center. The Westminster resident was 85.

Born Ruby Irene Subock in Baltimore and raised in Woodlawn, she attended Baltimore County public schools.

In 1939, she went to work at Mrs. Filbert's Margarine Co. in Southwest Baltimore. She retired in 1985 as a foreman at Martin Gillet Co., manufacturer of mayonnaise and salad dressings.

Mrs. Timanus, who moved to Westminster 26 years ago, enjoyed gardening, crocheting and crossword puzzles.

Her husband of 30 years, William S. Timanus, a bus driver, died in 1968.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at the Loring Byers Funeral Home, 8728 Liberty Road, Randallstown.

Also surviving are two brothers, Larry Subock of Middle River and William Subock of Fort Pierce, Fla.; two sisters, Doris R. Mullineaux of Woodlawn and Linda L. Mauritz of Westminster; and many nieces and nephews.
