Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Shooting -- Two men were shooting at each other near the 3400 block of Cottage Ave. about 7:10 p.m. yesterday when one was wounded in the chest and right shoulder. The victim was taken to Sinai Hospital.


Shooting/arrest -- Officers Antoine Gibson and Andre Hill were in an unmarked police car parked in the 1200 block of W. Baltimore St. about 1:15 a.m. Friday when they witnessed one man shoot another, then flee in a car. After police stopped the car in the 800 block of Whitmore Ave., they arrested Keith Holly, 17, of the 2500 block of Riggs Ave. and charged him with attempted murder and a handgun offense. A loaded .45-caliber handgun was seized. Three other occupants of the car were not arrested. Shot in the right arm and treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center was Anthony Crews, whose age and address were unavailable.


Arrest -- A second suspect has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the death of Cecil Saunders, 28, whose severely beaten body was found Aug. 9 on an exterior stairway at the Executive Motel in the 3600 block of Pulaski Highway. A third man was being sought. Arrested Wednesday in the 3200 block of W. Baltimore St. was Laneal Collins, 30, of the first block of S. Wickham Road. Arrested Sept. 29 was Darryl Cook Jr., 23, whose last known address was the 2200 block of Wilkens Ave. Both Collins and Cook were being held without bail at Central Booking and Intake Center.


Stabbing -- Two sisters were arguing about a cell phone in their apartment in the 700 block of Druid Hill Ave. about 11 p.m. Saturday when one, a 15-year-old, was stabbed in the back. The victim was treated at Shock Trauma. The older sister fled and was being sought.

Robbery -- A 50-year-old man and his wife were about to enter their apartment in the 800 block of Tyson St. about 4:20 p.m. Saturday when a man who implied he had a handgun robbed him of a wallet containing cash and credit cards.

Baltimore County


Robbery -- A man who implied he had a handgun entered the Ramada Inn in the 8700 block of Loch Raven Blvd. about 12:45 a.m. yesterday and ordered a clerk to give him money from the cash register. He fled with an undisclosed sum.


Robbery -- A man who implied he had a handgun robbed Rack Room Shoes in the 9600 block of Reisterstown Road of boots and shoes valued at $250 Saturday afternoon.
