Despite a cold start, November 2006 wheezed to a close last night as one of the wetter and warmer Novembers of the past 30 years at BWI. A succession of coastal storms pushed total rainfall to 6.25 inches, making it the fifth-wettest November since 1950. Rain totals were more than 3 inches above long-term averages. The coldest reading of the month was 26 degrees way back on the 3rd. The mild weather since then saved us 20 percent on normal heating demand. But all that changes today.
