Dressed in a pink nightgown and holding a doll, Talia Pleasant celebrated her third birthday in a hospital room at Johns Hopkins Children's Center, where she was undergoing chemotherapy for a rare form of brain cancer.

The youngster with big brown eyes, who also battled adrenal cancer, has impressed those around her with how bravely she handles the treatments.
