Man's body found in car in parking lot

Baltimore County police are investigating the death of a 20-year-old man who was found dead in a car in a Timonium parking lot yesterday morning. About 10 a.m., police received a call that a body had been discovered in a blue Dodge Neon parked in front of Panera Bread Co. in the 2100 block of York Road, police said. The man, whose body was found in the driver's seat, did not appear to be the victim of a trauma. Police were not releasing his name until they contacted his family.

Towson

Arson attempt seen in apartments

Gasoline-soaked rags were discovered in the basement of three apartment buildings in Towson yesterday in what appears to be an arson attempt, fire officials said. About 5 p.m., the Baltimore County Fire Department received a call about a possible natural gas leak in an apartment building in the 7700 block of Greenview Terrace near Towson University, said Officer Dana Camak. Fire officials and BGE employees discovered numerous gasoline-soaked rags in the basements of three buildings. Although no fire had been set, the incident is being investigated as an attempted arson.
