Catherine Sullens, 93

Catherine M. Sullens, former owner of a Highlandtown used-car company, died of Alzheimer's disease Nov. 15 at The Pines Genesis nursing home in Easton. She was 93.

Born Catherine Marie Shell in Baltimore and raised on Fleet Street, she attended city public schools.

In 1935, she married Howard Charles Sullens, and together the couple owned and operated Sullens Motors in Highlandtown. Mr. Sullens died in 1972.

Mrs. Sullens lived in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., from 1994 to 2000, when she moved to the nursing home.

She was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Highlandtown.

Plans for services were incomplete.

Surviving are a daughter, Frances Cease of North Lauderdale, Fla.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
