Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Arrest -- Chaz Ricks, 19, of the 2200 block of Corona Court was arrested Sunday when he surrendered to police at the Central District station. He was charged in a warrant with first-degree assault and a handgun violation in the shooting about 1:40 a.m. Saturday of a 9-year-old girl. Police said the girl was in bed when a handgun Ricks was handling in an adjacent room discharged, wounding the girl in the thigh.

Northern

Arrest -- Anthony Smith, 26, was arrested about 6 a.m. yesterday in the 500 block of Chestnut Hill Ave. on a warrant charging him with two counts of attempted murder. Smith, a resident of the block, is accused of shooting two men, one 24, and the other 29, in the 3200 block of Greenmount Ave. on Oct. 22.

Stabbing -- Police were seeking a male suspect in the stabbing yesterday afternoon of a man in the 900 block of Gorsuch Ave. The victim was stabbed several times about 4:15 p.m. and taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was reported in critical condition.

Central

Stolen vehicle -- A maroon 2002 Honda CRV with tags M757759 was stolen Sunday in the 1400 block of Maryland Ave.

Theft -- Someone broke into a 2003 Saturn parked in the 600 block of Cathedral St. on Sunday and stole a cell phone valued at $100.

Stabbing -- A 37-year-old man was reported in critical condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center after he was attacked in the 600 block of W. Lexington St. on Sunday afternoon by a man who stabbed him in the back, head and chest with an unknown weapon.

Theft -- A global navigational system valued at $600 was stolen Sunday from a 2006 Toyota 4-Runner parked in the first block of S. Gay St.

Baltimore County

White Marsh

Burglary -- Someone entered White Marsh Mall through a loading dock door early Sunday, entered the shopping area and stole tools and Christmas ornaments from two kiosks. The property was valued at $730.

Essex

Robbery -- An employee of Papa John's was in the 1400 block of Strawflower Road about 3 p.m. Sunday when she asked two teenage males for directions to a house where she was to deliver food. While one youth talked to her, the other assaulted her and together they robbed the woman of a pizza and other food items valued at nearly $47.

Burglary -- Jewelry and a watch - together valued at $1,230 - were stolen over the weekend from an apartment in the 900 block of Garden Drive.

Robbery -- A 74-year-old employee of an apartment complex in the 2100 block of Orems Road was about to empty trash into a bin outside the laundry room about 4 a.m. Sunday when a man who implied he had a handgun robbed him of $135.

Burglary -- Someone entered an apartment in the 300 block of Retford Way through a bedroom window during the weekend and stole cash and jewelry all valued at $900.
