Celebrate the season at the 19th annual Gettysburg Christmas Parade on Saturday. Load up the family and drive north to the historic city for a festive and merry evening. Beginning at 6:15 p.m., there will be caroling in Lincoln Square, with the grand holiday parade through town at 7 p.m. Local and school bands, dance groups, floats, area businesses, nonprofit organizations and other groups will participate in the parade. Santa Claus will arrive at the parade's conclusion, and then there will be a Christmas tree-lighting in the square's center.
The parade begins by Lincoln Square at Stratton Street, heads south on Stratton Street, west on York Street, north on Carlisle Street, east on Water Street, then south on Stratton Street, ending at the Gettysburg Fire Station. 800-337-5015 or gettysburg.travel for more information.
