Regina Spektor

Pianist Regina Spektor, who as a young girl emigrated to New York City from Russia with her family, has won over fans with her heartwarming, playful song "Fidelity." She experiments with melodies made from odd vocal noises and notes and usually sings straight into the microphone -- without special effects. Sunday she plays an all-ages, smoke-free show at Sonar, 407 E. Saratoga St. Doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets are $17.50. Call 410-327-8333 or go to
