The ground squished loudly underfoot the other evening as we took the garbage on the long "townhouse walk" - from the cans in back to the curb in front. It's been unusually wet this fall. BWI-Marshall saw rainfall 3.5 inches above the norm in September. October brought a bonus of 2.6 inches. We're 1.2 inches ahead of the pace this month, and now they're calling for 1 to 2 inches more rain by Thursday. Temperatures have been mild, but winter's coming. Do you know where your shovel is?
