Bolduc, Moxley chair YMCA drive

James R. Bolduc and Mark G. Moxley have been named co-chairmen of the Howard County Family YMCA's $11.2 million renovation and expansion campaign.

Bolduc is managing director of JPB Capital Partners II L.P., a private equity investment firm. Moxley is principal with Security Development Group, a residential land development company.

Founded in 1854, the Howard County Family YMCA serves more than 8,000 people. The renovation will increase its space from 24,000 to 60,000 square feet and add two new gymnasiums, allowing the agency to double its membership to 15,000 and serve 21,000 people.

APL names Collins programs executive

Timothy J. Collins has been named precision engagement business area executive for the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in North Laurel.

The laboratory's precision engagement business area develops detection and targeting, command and control, and engagement capabilities for the military. Its signature programs include Tactical Tomahawk, electronic jamming, hypersonic weapons technology and the DD(X) class destroyer.

Since joining the laboratory in 2005, Collins has been a program area manager and group supervisor for its detection and targeting area, working on programs such as the Joint-Unmanned Combat Air System and Upstream Data Fusion.

Before joining APL, the Clarksville resident served for 23 years in the Air Force, where he logged more than 3,500 flying hours as a command pilot with combat flight time in fighter and tanker aircraft.
