On Tuesday, November 7, 2006, PEGGY MONTGOMERY, 59, of Troutville, VA, formerly of Baltimore, MD. She was employed by Wachovia Bank. She was one of the found members of St. Thomas of Canterbury Anglican Church in Roanoke, VA, where she was also a Sunday School Teacher and Altar Guild Member. She was a professed Third Order Sister of the Third Order of the Franciscans of the Divine Compassion known as Sister Mary Margaret, TDC. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael Montgomery, grandparents, Blanche and Carl Doyle and her uncle Merle Doyle. She is survived by her parents Louis and Margaret Doyle of Baltimore, MD, sister, Patricia Hottinger and family, also from Baltimore, MD, daughter and son-in-law, Melissa L. Atkinson and Don W. Atkinson, Jr., of Blue Ridge, VA, daughter and son-in-law Stephanie M. Troyer and Jeremiah James Troyer of Saluda, VA. She also left two wonderful grandchildren behind, Samantha Danielle Atkinson of blue Ridge, VA and Tecumseh Michael Dennis Troyer of Saluda, VA. At the time of her death, she was with both of her children and her faithful companion, Samantha, her dog of 14 years. The family would like to thank Dr. William Fintel and all of the nursing staff at the Blue Ridge Cancer Center for all he did for her as well as Dr. Kenneth Luckay for his compassion and loving care of momma. Services will be conducted at the St. Thomas of Canterbury Anglican Catholic Church on Saturday, November 11, 2006, at 11 A.M, with the Rev. Dr. marvin Gardner officiating. Interment will be at blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's East Chapel on Thursday and Friday from 7 to 9 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Blue ridge Cancer Center. Arrangements by Oakey's East Chapel (Bonsack) 540-977-3909.
