Quiet Waters art

The lowdown -- This weekend, works by 65 artists will be on display at the Art Festival at Quiet Waters Park. There will also be food, music, raffles and children's activities.

If you go -- The festival is 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Quiet Waters Park, 600 Quiet Waters Park Road in Annapolis. Admission is free, but a donation of $2 per adult and $1 per child is requested. For more information, call 410-222-1777 or go to friendsof quietwaterspark.org.

A zoo race

The lowdown -- Zip through the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore on Sunday as part of the ZooZoom. The event includes a five-mile race through the zoo and nearby Druid Hill Park and a one-mile family fun run. Each entrant receives a free admission pass and a long-sleeve T-shirt. A party with food and refreshments follows the race.

If you go -- The five-mile race starts at 8 a.m.; registration costs $30 and $25 for members. The family fun run begins at 9:30 a.m.; registration is $10. The Greek way

The lowdown -- Hosted by the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation, this weekend's Greek Village Festival features traditional Greek dishes such as spanakopita, gyros and pastitsio, a Greek take on lasagna. There will also be Greek dance troupes, a silent auction, cathedral tours and live music.

If you go -- The festival is 11 a.m.-midnight tomorrow and Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Sunday, rain or shine. The cathedral is at the corner of Maryland Avenue and Preston Street. Call 410-727-1831 or go to goannun.org.
