A Severna Park man was killed Friday in a two-vehicle accident in Millersville, Anne Arundel County police said yesterday.

Michael Patrick Nash, 44, of Ben Oaks Drive was traveling north on Veterans Highway near West Benfield Road about 7:30 p.m. when his 1978 Triumph convertible crossed the center line and into the path of a southbound 2000 Chevrolet van, police said in a news release.

The Triumph caught fire, police said, and Nash was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Chevrolet, Robert George Anderson, 71, of Elizabeth Road was not injured.

Witnesses said that both drivers appeared to be traveling within posted speed limits. Police don't know whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the collision.
