Don't Miss

Stainless, J.M. Giordano's new exhibit at Creative Alliance at the Patterson, documents Bethlehem Steel retirees, their homes and their former workplace. Giordano said he was passionate about shooting the 15 or so large-scale works in the exhibit in color.

"I didn't want to tug people's heartstrings or make it gritty black and white," Giordano said. "I wanted to present an honest, straight-up picture of these retirees in their home environments and the environments from which they came ... and let the viewer make the judgment call."

Stainless opens Saturday and runs through Dec. 11 at Creative Alliance at the Patterson, 3134 Eastern Ave. There is a reception 3 p.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and a Q&A with former steel industry workers 3 p.m. Nov. 18. Registration is recommended for the latter event. Gallery hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesdays-Saturdays. Call 410-276-1651 or go to
