Death Cab for Cutie -- Constitution Hall / O.C. character Seth Cohen's declaration of his undying love for the music of Death Cab for Cutie was only the beginning for the Seattle-based quartet, formed by engineering student Ben Gibbard as a cathartic response to a broken heart. The band's fifth album, Plans, is the follow-up to the widely successful Transatlanticism. The Black Keys -- 9:30 Club / Fresh from opening for Radiohead this summer, the Black Keys are bringing their Akron-flavored rock to the 9:30 Club on Sunday and Monday, celebrating the release of their latest album, Magic Potion. With them will be psychedelic rock band the Black Angels. The bands perform Sunday and Monday nights at 7:30 p.m. at the 9:30 Club, 815 V St. N.W. in Washington. Queensryche -- Rams Head Live and 9:30 Club / Distinctive progressive metal band Queensryche will play at the 9:30 Club in Washington on Saturday and at Rams Head Live in Baltimore on Sunday, bringing the sequel to its revolutionary third album, Operation: Mindcrime to life. Set 20 years after the original, the 15-song story of Operation: Mindcrime II continues the story of Nikki, Dr. X and Sister Mary, which lead singer and songwriter Geoff Tate recently adapted into a screenplay.
