2005 Husch "Renegade" Sauvignon Blanc, Mendocino County ($18)
This full-bodied, dry white wine is a standout among its peers. It coats the palate with intense flavors of peach, pears, apples, spices, mint and figs. It's an excellent alternative to "another boring chardonnay." Serve with grilled salmon.
