Gibbons runs past Boys' Latin in 36-13 win

Kiero Small and Jamar Vaughn combined efforts for consecutive rushing touchdowns as visiting Cardinal Gibbons beat Boys' Latin, 36-13, yesterday.

Small led the Crusaders rushing attack with 182 yards on 19 carries, and Vaughn ignited the defense with two key interceptions.

The Lakers' Grady Gamble caught a 17-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to end the scoring. Gibbons' kicker Justin Geho went 4-for-4 on extra points.

No. 2 River Hill 41, Reservoir 6 -- Zach Martin scored four touchdowns, three rushing and one on a catch to power the visiting Hawks (8-0) past the Gators. Reservoir's lone score came in the fourth quarter.

Eastern Tech 21, Milford Mill 0 -- Thomas Edwards rushed for two second-half touchdowns to power the visiting Mavericks (7-1) past the Millers (6-2). The defending 2A-1A league champion Milford Mill and Eastern Tech are vying for a berth in the Class 2A North region playoffs.
