The Weather Page

October 27, 2006|By FRANK ROYLANCE | FRANK ROYLANCE,SUN REPORTER -- WEATHER BLOGGER

Susan Clark teaches at H.H. Garnett Elementary School in Chestertown, where pupils endeavor to be "knowledgeable, empathetic, self-determined and strategic." Pursuant to these goals, she writes: "My third grade class keeps track of high and low temperatures reported on the weather page of The Sun ... They would like to know if Hawaii and Alaska are included in the high/low reporting." The extremes below the map are for the lower 48 only, kids. Otherwise Alaska and Hawaii would hog the extremes and bore us all to death.
