By any measure, Notre Dame long ago scored a knockout in its so-called rivalry with Navy's football program.

The last time the Fighting Irish fell to the Midshipmen, John F. Kennedy occupied the White House, and the Beatles were about to invade America. Notre Dame has won 42 consecutive times over Navy - the longest series winning streak in Division I-A football - and holds a 69-9-1 advantage in a matchup that has been renewed every year since 1931.
