Woman critical after Harford shooting

October 18, 2006

A 34-year-old woman was reported in critical condition after a shooting last night at a home in Abingdon, the Harford County Sheriff's Office reported.

The victim, identified as Julie Ann Reall, suffered a wound to her abdomen and was found by her boyfriend after he heard a gunshot at the home in the 4000 block of Timothy Drive about 7:45 p.m., the sheriff's office said.

Reall was treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel from the Abingdon Volunteer Fire Company and taken to the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, the sheriff's office said.

Circumstances of the shooting were under investigation, but there was no immediate indication of foul play, the sheriff's office said. Spokesman Bob Thomas said he did not know last night whether the victim or her boyfriend lived at the residence.
