Clancy, McLaughlin library trustees

Patrick J. Clancy, attorney and partner at Krooth & Altman in Washington, and Charles McLaughlin, retired grant and contract administrator for the federal government, have been appointed trustees of the Howard County Library.

Blodgett to lead undersea war area

Lisa Blodgett has been named undersea warfare business area executive at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory in North Laurel.

She will manage the undersea warfare business area, which solves problems in undersea warfare for the U.S. Navy and the Department of Defense in the fields of strategic submarine warfare, anti-submarine warfare, mine warfare and other areas.

Blodgett, who lives in Ellicott City, joined the laboratory in 1991. She has been a project manager, section supervisor and group supervisor in the Submarine Technology Department (now called the National Security Technology Department), and became branch head and program area manager for applied maritime technologies in 2003.
