Injury forces audible at QB

Navy

Navy coach Paul Johnson is used to working with different starting quarterbacks in rapid succession. Four different quarterbacks have run the Midshipmen's spread option offense the past four seasons.

But for the first time in Johnson's five years in Annapolis, he will be changing quarterbacks during the season. With senior Brian Hampton likely out for the year after suffering a dislocated left knee in the first quarter of Saturday's 34-0 loss to then-No. 24 Rutgers (6-0), Johnson will turn to sophomores Kaipo-Noa Kaheaku-Enhada and Jarod Bryant, who will compete for the starting job the next two weeks.

Notre Dame vs. Navy Oct. 28, noon, M&T Bank Stadium, Ch. 13, 1090 AM, 1430 AM, 1500 AM
