The marriage of Miss Lindsay Warren Carter, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Hill Carter, Jr. of Ashland, to Noah Morgan Gerstmyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Randall Gerstmyer of Baltimore, took place on Saturday, September 30 at Fork Episcopal Church in Doswell, VA. The Reverend Anne Kirchmier and The Reverend Tom Smith officiated. The bride, given in marriage by her father, is the granddaughter of Mrs. Emily Carter Jones and the late Dudley Mitchell Jones of Wilson, North Carolina and the late Dr. and Mrs. Hill Carter, Sr. of Ashland. The groom is the grandson of Mrs. Greta White Judge and the late Arthur Ignatius Judge of Willow Bend Farm, Phoenix, Maryland, and Newell Melanchthon Gerstmyer and the late Helen Schleuning Gerstmyer of Cockeysville, Maryland Dudley Carter Sullivan of Port Washington, New York, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Mary Chandler Pendleton Carter of New York City, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Emily Celeste Gerstmyer of Baltimore, Maryland, sister of the groom, Kara Anne Elizabeth Carroccia of Annapolis, Maryland, Shelley Barham Daughtrey of Dallas, Texas, Michelle Kahn Logan and Cynthia Tayloe Moore of Richmond and Jennifer Crean Shalley of Charlotte, North Carolina. The flower girls were MacKenna Jane Judge and Melissa Kate Judge of Grasonville, Maryland, both cousins of the groom. Nicholas Walter Moulsdale of Chestertown, Maryland was the best man. Groomsmen were Hill Carter, III of Warwick, Rhode Island, brother of the bride, Joseph Galvin Logan of Richmond, Darrin H. Millender of Upperco, Maryland, Matthew Joseph Spero and Christopher Wagner Sutton, both of Baltimore, and Eric Wheeler of Parkton, Maryland. Carter Michael Sullivan of Port Washington, New York, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer. Readers were Georgia Dunlap Luck of Richmond and Matthew Alan Brock of Baltimore. Lindsay Warren McNair of Raleigh, North Carolina, cousin of the bride, was the Crucifer. The torch bearers were John Martin McNair of Raleigh, North Carolina and William Gray Johnston of Greensboro, North Carolina, both cousins of the bride. The rehearsal dinner was given by the parents of the groom and was held at Randolph-Macon College. The wedding reception was held at the bride's family farm, South Wales, in Hanover. The bride is a graduate of The Collegiate School and Washington College. She is an account coordinator at Herrmann Advertising Design in Annapolis, Maryland. Mr. Gerstmyer is a graduate of The Boys' Latin School of Maryland and Washington College. He is employed by McClung-Logan Equipment Company in Baltimore, Maryland. After a honeymoon, the couple will reside in Stevensville, Maryland.
