Virus, lack of slots, injury to Barbaro have tested industry

It was a year in 3D for the Maryland racing industry. Unfortunately for horsemen, however, those D's were disappointment, death and devastation.

Disappointment: Another General Assembly came and went with no slots legislation to help boost the state's tracks.
