The Orioles have interest in Japanese pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka, 26, who received permission from the Seibu Lions to seek a major league job, but they don't expect to be serious players. The highest bidder can sign Matsuzaka, who went 17-5 with a 2.13 ERA and 200 strikeouts for the Lions.

The Orioles haven't announced any changes to their coaching staff, but a source says bench coach Lee Elia won't return next season.
