New features

October 08, 2006

Starting tomorrow, three new features - all inviting readers' tips and ideas - will debut in The Sun's Maryland section:

Getting There, a column by transportation reporter Michael Dresser, will examine the perils and pleasures of getting from Point A to Point B by car, bus, train, plane, bike, boat and, sometimes, by foot. It will run every Monday on the front of this section.

Watchdog, a new Page 2 Tuesday column, will hold government agencies around the region accountable for a variety of neighborhood problems - for example, burned-out streetlights and broken water mains. If you have a problem you want fixed, call us at 410-332-6735, or e-mail us at watchdog@baltsun.com. A reporter and photographer might contact you.

"Whatever Happened To? will answer that question about people who have made news during the past year or two. It will run on Page 2 each Saturday, along with the columns by Jacques Kelly and Frederick N. Rasmussen.

Besides these new features, you'll discover a redesigned, more readable obituary page beginning Tuesday.
