An Annapolis man was arrested yesterday after attempted robberies at a home, a church and a hotel in the city, and the accosting of a hotel clerk, Anne Arundel County police said.

About 1:40 a.m., police arrived at a home in the 1000 block of E. College Parkway. A man, 19, told officers that a man had attempted to enter his bedroom. The resident ran to another room and called police.

About 1:45 a.m., officers arrived at Quality Inn Hotel in the 1500 block of Whitehall Road. A female clerk, 23, told police that a man had demanded money. He tried to pull down the clerk's pants, police said, and took money from the register. The hotel manager chased the robber away.

Donnell Jerome Pack, 22, of the 300 block of Forest Beach Road in Annapolis was arrested and charged with burglary and assault, robbery, attempted rape and other offenses, police said.

Police later were called to Christian City Church in the 100 block of E. College Parkway. Police said boot prints on the church's kicked-in door matched the boots Pack was wearing when he was arrested. Pack is also charged in that robbery attempt, police said.

Pack was convicted of second-degree assault and robbery and sentenced in 2005 to two years in jail, according to court officials. He was been released in July and was on supervised release, according to court documents.
