The story was heartbreaking. In early 2001, an 18-month-old toddler, Josie King, climbed into a bathtub in her family's Baltimore home and turned on the hot water.

She was scalded over more than 60 percent of her body. Three weeks later, she was dead.

On TV Remaking American Medicine: Silent Killer airs on MPT (Channels 22 and 67) at 10 tonight and on Oct. 12, 19 and 26.
