On September 9, 2006, EUGENE J. MOSBY, beloved son of the late Eugene and Gertrude Mosby, husband of Julia Magruder Mosby, father of Eugene, Jr., Mrs. Joy Crawford, Anthony (Tony) Mosby, April Mosby and James Mosby, and brother of Veronica and Maria Mosby; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and six nephews. Eugene was born and raised in Baltimore City, and graduated from Douglas High School in 1954. He received a Bachelors of Science Degree in 1958, and a Masters in Business Administration in 1975, both from Morgan State University. Eugene entered the United States Army in 1958, shortly after his graduation from Morgan. He spent 10 years in the military. While in the military, one of his primary duties involved research and development for chemical warfare. In 1968, Eugene was the first African-American hired as a Management Trainee, for the former Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Co., located in Baltimore City. Cremation and services were private.
