Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Assault -- A woman, 42, was walking in the 100 block of McMechen St. about 3 a.m. Thursday when she was attacked from behind by someone who struck her in the head with an unknown object. The woman, who was not seriously injured, walked home and called police.

Robbery -- The owner of a chain of pizza shops was talking to his girlfriend on his cell phone in the first block of Commerce St. about 1 a.m. Wednesday when a gunman robbed him of $800, and a watch, gold necklace, diamond ring -- the jewelry valued at more than $6,000.


Stolen motorcycle -- A blue 2002 Kawasaki ZX-12 with tags 854M29 was stolen Thursday from the rear yard of a house in the 1700 block of Braddish Ave.


Arrest -- A resident of the 300 block of E. Biddle St. was arrested Tuesday night and charged with breaking into a 1999 Volkswagen parked a few doors from his home and stealing a backpack containing books. Arrested by Officer Jerron Cox was James Darby, 41. The property was recovered.


Robbery try/stabbing -- Police were seeking three males in the stabbing about 4 p.m. Sunday of a 17-year-old boy during an attempted robbery in the 2300 block of E. Baltimore St. The victim, stabbed in both arms and a shoulder, was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Burglary -- Two leaf blowers were stolen between Tuesday and Thursday from a storage shed at Kenwood Park Apartments on Clementine Court. They were valued at $700.


Burglary -- Police were seeking three teenage boys who entered an apartment in the first block of Mercy Court Thursday and stole video games, jewelry and a watch.


Burglary -- Someone broke into a garage in the 3700 block of Oak Ave. Thursday evening and stole a lawn mower, leaf blower, bicycle and hedge trimmer -- all valued at $900.

Burglary -- A laptop computer and an accessory, cash and jewelry were stolen Thursday from an apartment in the 2200 block of Falls Gable Lane. The property was valued at nearly $3,000.

Burglary -- A microwave oven, an electric fan and a security box were stolen Wednesday from a house in the first block of Amleht Court by someone who entered through a living room window.

Burglary -- A TV, two DVD players, a stereo receiver, cassette deck, cassette changer, speakers, 20 DVD movies and 40 CDs -- all valued at $2,405 -- were stolen Tuesday from an apartment in the 4300 block of Old Court Road by someone who entered through the front door.
