Motorcyclist dies in crash

September 30, 2006

A motorcyclist from Prince George's County was killed and two motorists injured yesterday afternoon when their vehicles collided at West and Parole streets in downtown Annapolis.

The name of the 35-year-old motorcyclist was not being released until his family could be notified, Annapolis police Officer Kevin Freeman said.

The names of the motorists, each of whom was driving a vehicle, also were withheld because police were investigating the cause of the accident. They were taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center where they were treated for injuries not considered life-threatening.

The crash, which occurred about 2:40 p.m., closed West Street between Hicks Avenue and Chinquipin Round Road.
