On September 13, 2006, HARRY B. BROOKS, 80, of Ferrum, VA. He was a logger, a tree expert and served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He was preceded in death by his parents John Sellers and Nellie Overfelt Brooks, daughter Sharon Nash, brother Otey Brooks, five half-brothers and five half-sisters. Surviving are his children Elizabeth Wilkerson and friend Jeffrey Boggs, Jeanne Brooks and friend Robert Buettner, Willie and Bill Eder, Diane and Tony Bizzarri, Anita Diaz and John and Kathy Brooks, 26 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Jean Brooks, niece Sue, nephews Perry, Charles, Don, Henry, Richard and Toby, nine great-nieces and -nephews. He is also survived by Jesse, Linda Ellis, Eagle, Ziltch, Greg, Don, John, Kay, Randy and Mike Diggs as well as numerous others. In lieu of flowers he has requested that memorial contributions be made to Autism and Cerebal Palsey Associations. Memorial service will be conducted at Boons Mill Church of the Brethren September 30 at 1 P.M. followed by a gathering at the Eders home in Ferrum, VA.
