Twins update

The teams meet for the third, and last, time this season, and the Orioles again miss left-hander Johan Santana, the American League's leading Cy Young Award candidate. Instead, the Twins (90-62), a half game behind Detroit, are starting two rookies and veteran Carlos Silva, off whom Orioles right fielder Nick Markakis hit three home runs the last time the Twins came to Camden Yards. Rookie Garza, who pitches Sunday, picked up his first big league win against the Orioles in August. If the Orioles, 2-4 against the Twins this year, get past the starting rotation, they'll have to face the majors' best bullpen, which is led by closer Joe Nathan and premium setup man Juan Rincon. The Twins' offense is paced by batting average leader Joe Mauer (.345) and potential Most Valuable Player candidate Justin Morneau (33 homers, 125 RBIs).
