Rising for the defense, Towson's Bradford honored

In a league that has placed six teams among the top 21 rankings nationally and has members that have beaten Division I-A teams Duke and Northwestern and one that lost by a point at resurgent Navy, it is no small achievement to be selected for an individual honor during the season.

Talent abounds and competition is fierce in the Atlantic 10, widely considered the premier NCAA Division I-AA football conference, and a superior performance is mandatory to be named a Player of the Week.
