An article yesterday about the resignation of Gene M. Raynor, director of the Baltimore Board of Elections, incorrectly attributed a written statement to Mayor Martin O'Malley. The statement was from O'Malley's gubernatorial campaign manager, Josh White.

An article about state politics in the Today section yesterday incorrectly stated that Republicans have controlled the U.S. Senate for the past 12 years. The Democratic Party was in the majority from Jan. 3 to Jan. 20, 2001, and from June 2001 to January 2003.

In Kevin Cowherd's column yesterday, the radio station owned by Nestor Aparicio was misidentified. He owns WNST (1570 AM).

The Sun regrets the errors.
