Tigers update

The game was rescheduled from May 11 when rain wiped away the final game of a three-game set between the teams at Camden Yards. It also represents a rematch of Saturday's pitching duel between Robertson and Benson, won by the Tigers, 2-0. Robertson held the Orioles to six hits in eight scoreless innings, while Benson allowed seven hits and two runs through eight innings. Detroit leads the season series 3-2 after taking two of three from the Orioles on Friday through Sunday. The Tigers won last night to stay a half game ahead of the hard-charging Minnesota Twins in the American League Central. The Tigers haven't been out of first place since May 15. Including last night's series finale in Chicago, Detroit has 46 road wins, the most by a Tigers club since 51 in 1984. Marcus Thames (26), Craig Monroe (26), Brandon Inge (25) and Magglio Ordonez (23) are the first quartet of Tigers with 20-plus home runs in a single season since 1998.
