County Council -- The Anne Arundel County Council will meet at 7 p.m. at 44 Calvert St. in Annapolis to discuss an adjustment to the BWI/Linthicum zoning district map, leasing property to the Soil Conservation District, a forest conservation abandonment and easement and agricultural land preservation. 410-222-1401.

Planning advisory board -- The board, which advises Anne Arundel planning and zoning officials and the County Council on the master plan, meets at 4 p.m. at the Heritage Office Complex, second floor, 2664 Riva Road in Annapolis. 410-222-7432.


Maritime Advisory Board -- The board will meet to discuss marine and boating industry concerns at 7 p.m. at the Office of Economic Development, 151 West St., Suite 102, Annapolis. The Maritime Advisory Board meets the third Tuesday of each month. 410-263-7940.

Soil Conservation -- The Board of Directors for the Anne Arundel County Soil Conservation District will meet at 8 a.m. at 2664 Riva Road, second-floor Chesapeake room, Annapolis. The board reviews and enforces soil conservation in regard to farming, woodlands and wildlife. The board normally meets the third Tuesday of each month. 410-222- 7822.


Board of Appeals -- The Annapolis Board of Appeals will meet 7:30 p.m. in city council chambers, 44 Calvert St., Annapolis. 410-263-7961.

Board of Education -- The Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. to consider the fiscal year 2008 operating and capital budgets in the Dr. Carol S. Parham Administration Building, 2644 Riva Road in Annapolis. 410-222-5311.

Community Relations Council -- The Anne Arundel County Police Community Relations Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Eastern District Police Station, 3700 Mountain Road, Pasadena. Officer Justin Scally will be the speaker and officers will be available to address crime prevention and community law enforcement concerns. 410- 222-6145.

Housing commission -- The Housing Commission of Anne Arundel County will meet at 11:30 a.m. The commission usually meets the third Wednesday of every odd month in Suite 302 at 7477 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd., Glen Burnie. 410-222-6200.

Social Services Board of Directors -- The Anne Arundel County board will review reports and advise the Department of Social Services on public assistance fund distributions for county constituents at 9 a.m. The board meets the third Wednesday of the month at 80 West St., Annapolis. 410-269-4601.


Tipton Airport Authority -- The authority will meet to discuss potential growth, improvements and maintenance of operations at 4 p.m. at the Tipton Airport operations building, 81 General Aviation Drive, Fort Meade. The authority meets the third Thursday of each month. 410-222-6815.

Planning Commission -- The Annapolis Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. at city council chambers, 160 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis. The meeting is held on the first and third Thursday of each month. 410-263-7961.
