1018 S. Charles St., Federal Hill

Gwendy Long, owner of Federal Hill's newest boutique, likes to quote Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's: "If I could find a real-life place that'd make me feel like Tiffany's, then -- then I'd buy some furniture and give the cat a name!"

Long is hoping her cozy little shop, with its large crystal chandelier, sofa, loveseat and armoire, will do just that. She's filled it with classy and quirky clothes, as well as great-looking jeans from important denim names like Frankie B and Denim for Immortality.

A. Cheng's contemporary business attire can be found side by side with flowing dresses and tops from MarieMarie. Not to mention the unmentionables by Only Hearts and Belabumbum. These aren't lines you'll find just anywhere in Baltimore.

Holly G. is officially open from noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, but don't count on it. Call first.

Shopper Janie Seesteed of Bethesda looks in the mirror as she tries on a coat at Holly G.
