ASHBURN, Va. -- The Washington Redskins have yet to run any trick plays for Clinton Portis in their new offense, but the star running back has already been involved in a couple of reverses regarding his playing status.

Portis played in Monday's season-opening 19-16 defeat to the Minnesota Vikings at FedEx Field after missing all but one series of the preseason with a partially dislocated left shoulder, but apparently he won't play tomorrow on the road against the Dallas Cowboys.
