Kate Heineman scored first for Centennial, but Brooke Paulshock, Erin Lolley and Cara Canington answered as No. 9 C. Milton Wright (3-0-1) beat Centennial in field hockey.

The Mustangs got two goals from Kim Schnell in a 4-0 win over Towson at Centennial's round-robin tournament.

Centennial 3, Towson 2 -- Kate Heineman scored the game-winner off a feed from Corinne Ung four minutes into overtime as the Eagles (1-1) beat the Generals (0-2) at the Centennial Tournament.

No. 4 Garrison Forest 5, Maryvale 0 -- Melissa Pazornik scored two goals for the Grizzlies (3-0) in the first five minutes, both on assists from Poppy Hall, to set the pace for the championship game victory over the Lions (0-3) at the Garrison Forest Tournament.

Football

New Town 35, Owings Mills 0 -- The Titans' defense, led by strong safety Roland Riviere (seven tackles), stifled the Eagles to a total of minus 6 yards. New Town (1-0) overwhelmed the Owings Mills offense to get six sacks and recovered three fumble. Quarterback Dexter Edwards ran for 49 yards and three touchdowns.

Boys soccer

No. 9 Archbishop Curley 4, Chestnut Hill 2 -- Brent Hooper had a goal and an assist as the visiting Friars (3-1) beat the Warriors (1-1) in the championship of their Invitational Tournament.

Girls soccer

Winters Mill 3, No. 11 Centennial 2 -- The Falcons' Kelly La Porta scored in the final 10 minutes to complete the upset.
