Driver, 16, dies of crash injuries

The driver of a car carrying North Carroll High School students that was involved in a crash Friday died that night, police said yesterday. Three passengers were being treated last night at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Corey Patrick Redding, 16, lost control of the car he was driving, hitting a telephone pole and a house, police said. Passengers Andrew Clark and Christopher Wagner were in serious but stable condition yesterday, police said. Devin Pritchett was treated and released.

Police investigate two fatal attacks

Officers responding to a 911 call about 11 p.m. Friday found one man fatally shot and another man beaten at a townhouse in the 2100 block of Larkhall Road in Dundalk. The dead man was identified as Eric L. Fountain, 45, who lived at the townhouse, said police spokesman Bill Toohey. Police did not release information about the other man. An Edgewood man also was fatally stabbed about 3:20 a.m. yesterday in the 8100 block of Pulaski Highway, Toohey said. Charles R. Spenser, 22, of the 800 block of Angel Valley Court was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
