Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Baltimore

Central

Theft -- A parking meter with serial number LBW 07-17 was stolen from its post the 700 block of W. Lombard St. between Aug. 29 and Wednesday.

Theft -- Someone entered an office at Mercy Medical Center in the 300 block of N. Calvert St. Wednesday and removed $361 in cash and checks from a desk drawer.

Robbery -- A gunman entered McDonald's in the first block of S. Calvert St. about 4 a.m. Wednesday, ordered a clerk to the rear of the restaurant and took an undisclosed sum of money.from a secured area.

Theft -- Jewelry, clothing and a duffel bag were stolen Wednesday from a 2002 Oldsmobile parked in the first block of E. Lombard St.

Southeastern

Theft -- A portable breathing device valued at $4,000 was stolen Wednesday from a truck parked in the 200 block of Front St.

Stolen vehicle -- A green 1996 four-door Plymouth Breeze with tags 7BC C11 was stolen Wednesday in the 3200 block of Fleet St.

Northwestern

Arrest -- Tavon Foster, 19, of the 2500 block of Violet Ave., was arrested Wednesday on Townbrook Drive in Baltimore County by members of the Regional Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a warrant charging him with first-degree assault. Foster is accused of shooting a man in the 2400 block of Druid Park Drive on Aug. 22.

Southern

Burglary -- Someone broke into a house in the 2800 block of Round Road through a window Tuesday while the occupant was hospitalized and stole a VCR and a telephone.

Assault/arrest -- A man and woman were arguing in their home in the the 1700 block of W. Pratt St. about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday when the woman, 29, struck the man, 33, in the head with a baseball bat. The impact caused a laceration and knocked out two front teeth. Arrested and charged with aggravated assault was Carrie Cook.

Baltimore County

White Marsh

Robbery -- A deliveryman for Neighbor's Kitchen on Belair Road was about to deliver food to a house in the 500 block of Meadows Road about 10:30 p.m. Monday when three young males, one armed with a stick, stepped from a wooded area and robbed him of the order valued at less than $100.

Cockeysville

Burglary -- A resident was outside her home in the first block of Dunwich Road on Tuesday when she noticed a man she did not recognize standing in her garage who told her he was looking for his dog. When the woman entered her home, she found several pieces of jewelry missing from her bedroom.

Essex

Burglary -- A guitar, video games, digital video discs and a camcorder -- together worth $1,503 -- were stolen Wednesday from a house in the first block of Yew Road.

Robbery -- A man placed items on the counter at Walgreens in the 100 block of Beacon Road about 3 a.m. Tuesday, then removed more than $100 from the cash register when the clerk rang up the sale.
