A year ago, Mark Brunell appeared to be at the end of his NFL career.

After coming to the Washington Redskins in 2004, Brunell had lost his starting job to Patrick Ramsey midway through that season and, from the looks of things, many of the skills that had led to three Pro Bowl invitations in nine years with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
