Man fatally shot in East Baltimore

A man was shot last night while standing at a street corner in East Baltimore and died at nearby Johns Hopkins Hospital, city police reported.

About 9:30 p.m., Southeastern District officers responding to a report of a man shot in the 600 block of N. Montford Ave. at McElderry Street found the man suffering from at least one wound to the head, said Agent Donny Moses, a police spokesman.

The victim, whose name was not available, died about 11 p.m. Police knew of no motive or suspect.

Metro Crime Stoppers at 410-276-8888 is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest.
