Shirley's is more than good all-day breakfast

Dining For $25 Or Less

It's lunchtime, and all around us, people are eating pancakes and eggs and sausages. Breakfast all day is the draw at Shirley's Family Diner, even though the menu includes plenty of nonbreakfast (and equally artery-clogging) fare, like hamburgers, fried shrimp and country-fried steak.

What should we get, we ask our sweet server. Pot roast or pork chops? Ribs or fried chicken? She shrugs. Most people get the breakfast, she says. She hasn't tasted most of the entrees and so can't recommend anything.
