Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Arrest -- Brian Fitzgerald, 22, was arrested yesterday at his home in the 400 block of N. Ellwood Ave. by members of the Regional Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder. Fitzgerald is accused of shooting Davon Hines, 19, in the 400 block of N. Chester St. on Aug. 1.


Robbery -- Three employees were standing outside the Rite Aid in the 3800 block of Liberty Heights Ave. about 11 p.m. Monday - after closing - when two men, one with a handgun, robbed one of them of an undisclosed sum of money, a cell phone and keys to the store. Anyone with information about the robbers' identity is urged to call the district's robbery squad at 410-366-6341.

Robbery/shooting -- Three men were standing in the 2800 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway about 7:30 p.m. Monday when two other men, one with a handgun, robbed one of them of $40. Before the pair fled, the gunman shot the robbery victim in the left leg. He was reported in good condition at Sinai Hospital.


Theft -- A laptop computer, cell phone, tennis shoes and a gym bag - all valued at $2,150 - were stolen Monday from a 2004 Toyota sport utility vehicle parked in the 100 block of President St.


Robbery -- A gunman entered Advance Auto Parts in the 5800 block of York Road about 4 p.m. Monday, approached a cashier and said, "You know what time it is." After the cashier gave the gunman an undisclosed sum of money, he fled with an accomplice, who had been standing outside.


Theft -- Someone broke into a 1998 Cadillac Seville parked in the 2200 block of W. Lanvale St. Sunday and stole a wallet containing $35, a bank card and other property.

Baltimore County


Carjacking -- A 33-year-old woman was paying for fuel at a Spirit gas station in the 6800 block of Loch Raven Blvd. about 8:30 p.m. Monday when a gunman drove away in her silver 2001 Chevrolet Malibu with tags 9BZ K19.


Burglary -- A computer valued at $1,020 was stolen over the weekend from an apartment in the 6900 block of Copper Ridge Drive by someone who entered through a sliding glass door.


Robbery -- A teenager was walking toward a bus stop at Harrison Boulevard near Eastern Avenue about 2 p.m. Monday when two males, one with a knife, robbed him of $20 and two cell phones.


Armed robbery -- A gunman entered Game Stop in the 1900 block of E. Joppa Road about 11 a.m. Monday, followed an employee into a rear storage room and stole several hand-held game systems.
